Bacardi Beginnings
Role: Creative Direction, event documentation, visual production and live performance.
Brief: Create and produce an immersive visual environment for Bacardi Beginnings live show events.
Response: Bacardi Beginnings was a music initiative and mentoring scheme created to celebrate Bacardi’s 150th anniversary. In its second year, the initiative launched a two part musical event streamed live on Radio 1. Hosted at The Vaults in London the first event brought British hip hop act Rudimental and singer/songwriter Bipolar Sunshine together to write, record, mix, master and perform a track created in 24hrs. Supporting the live performance Anomalous constructed large LED walls to immerse the audience and stage with motion graphic visuals and Bacardi branded content.
Event two was hosted at London’s The Vinyl Factory and challenged singer/songwriters Kele Okereke (Bloc Party) & Bobbie Gordon to create a single to be printed live at the event on the world’s first 3D vinyl printer that featured designs by Studio Kate Moross. Supporting the live performance Anomalous designed and programmed the visual stage set up alongside projections mapped onto 6ft high sculpted Technics Record decks.
Outcome: Bespoke animated motion graphics, set design, lighting set up and live performance to over 2000 event attendees.
