Anomalous Space is our home for creativity and collaboration, a flexible environment available to hire for your next shoot, workshop, presentation, meeting, pop up, film location or social event.

Classic Portrait Series

This series of images represents the core work of photographer Ivan Weiss - portraits of actors, musicians, dancers and writers.

The images reflect a fascination with classical composition, a delight in the technical possibilities afforded by modern photographic techniques and a sensitivity for human emotion that Ivan effortlessly teases out of his subjects.

While noted for a distinctive style in his use of colour, light and shadow, authentic expression is at the heart of this particular series.

 

Simply beautiful. Stunning. Authentic. Real people showing real emotion. Ivan has a way of making you relax, unclench and start showing your inner human. He's playing Eno's Oblique Strategies without realising it. I won't repeat the joke he told me, but it worked.
